In other months (January, February, June, July, August, September, December), flights operate from Kathmandu itself.

Alternatively, you can book a direct helicopter flight between Kathmandu and Lukla for an additional USD 550 per person for one way, based on a 5-person sharing basis. This option is ideal to avoid the long drive to and from Manthali during peak season.
