Day 1 - The Causeway Coastal Route
Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Belfast, where your guide will take you on a scenic drive along the famous Causeway Coastal Route, offering a breathtaking introduction to Ireland's stunning landscapes.
The driving route is 130 miles long and has many historical and cultural landmarks. You’ll stop for a delicious lunch along the way to get acquainted with your new friends.
After lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting a working sheep farm. Stepping onto the farm, you’re immediately immersed in the sights and sounds of a thriving agricultural hub—a way of life that has sustained communities for centuries.

Day 2 - The Giant's Causeway
Exploring the Giant’s Causeway offers a breathtaking and fulfilling journey, perfect for both avid hikers and geology enthusiasts. Approaching the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Giant's Causeway, it's easy to see why this natural wonder has inspired countless tales in Irish folklore.
Local legend tells of two rival giants who, in their fury, hurled massive rocks at each other across the sea, giving rise to the iconic Giant's Causeway. The official scientific explanation credits this awe-inspiring site, home to thousands of basalt columns, to ancient volcanic activity that occurred around 50 million years ago.

Leaving the mural-adorned city of Derry, you’ll journey into the picturesque countryside of Donegal, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 4 - Folk Village at Glencolmcille

Day 5 - Knocknarea & Strandhill

Day 6 - Croagh Patrick
Croagh Patrick holds deep religious and cultural significance, closely associated with Ireland’s patron saint, St. Patrick. Legend has it that St. Patrick climbed Croagh Patrick to undertake a 40-day fast during Lent.
Strolling along the Tochair Phadraig, the historic pilgrimage trail at the base of Croagh Patrick, offers a serene escape and a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy a burst of lively traditional Irish music in Westport. Unwind by a cozy fire with a pint in hand, or jump right into the lively session and be part of the experience.

Day 7 - Tour of Galway City
Galway City captures the charm of a small rural town while offering the amenities and vibrant culture of a bustling city, making it a favorite among both locals and visitors.
Start your journey through Galway city with a local historian as your guide. They’ll take you on a captivating tour of the city’s historic landmarks, vibrant cultural sites, and hidden treasures, bringing Galway’s rich heritage to life. Following a two-hour guided city tour, you'll have the freedom to explore on your own and immerse yourself in the sights at your leisure.
You will then be escorted to your cozy accommodation in Co. Clare, where you can unwind and enjoy a restful night’s sleep in complete tranquility.

Day 8 - The Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland’s most iconic natural landmarks along the Wild Atlantic Way, and for good reason. Formed over 320 million years ago, the cliffs stand as one of Ireland’s most iconic attractions, celebrated for their striking beauty and rugged charm. You might recognize them from films like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and The Princess Bride.
Starting at the Visitor Centre, your hike will take you along breathtaking cliffs, where you can soak in the fresh sea air and marvel at the stunning coastal views as you make your way toward Doolin. Discover the geology, wildlife, history, and diverse flora and fauna of this region as the trail descends gracefully to sea level. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the numerous seabird colonies that call this area home.
Upon arriving in Doolin, unwind in one of its renowned bars or restaurants, where relaxation and charm await.

Day 9 - Ross Castle & Killarney National Park

Day 10 - The Kerry Way
Embarking on the Kerry Way, you'll traverse the serene Old Kenmare Road, a haven of peace and solitude that remains untouched even during the bustling summer months. This route was once the main road connecting Killarney to Kenmare in the 19th century. Winding through Killarney National Park, it reveals breathtaking vistas of magical woodlands and shimmering lakes.
In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, raising a glass to celebrate the week’s hiking accomplishments and unforgettable moments. With a bit of luck, you might get the chance to experience the charm of local traditional music.

Day 11 - Muckross House & Departure
After breakfast, take the opportunity to visit one of the historic treasures within Killarney National Park. Muckross House & Gardens, a stunning 19th-century estate, offers breathtaking views of Muckross Lake and a glimpse into the past. Once you’ve explored the house and its beautiful surroundings, it will be time to bid farewell to your newfound friends. Our guide will then ensure a smooth drop-off at Killarney train station.

Meet your guide at Belfast’s Lanyon Place Train Station at 13:00 on Day 1 of your trip. At the end of your trip, your guide will drop you off at Killarney Train Station at 12:30, where you can continue your onward journey.

Green Graded 1-3
Our green-graded trips include shorter hikes, with few ascents, and generally over smoother terrain (but usually not paved). We include more cultural stops along the way and walk at a leisurely pace.
Often, our green-graded trips include hikes in flatter coastal areas or in valleys and will last around 2-4 hours each day. To help you decide if you are fit enough for this trip, ask yourself:
Can you comfortably hike for 6 miles (10km), including some ascents, over generally good terrain?
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are appropriately fit and capable for the grade of the trip you wish to join. The weather in Ireland can be unpredictable at times which can make activities more challenging, so please bear this in mind when booking. If our guides at any point feel you cannot complete a scheduled activity, they may ask you not to join that day; this would be for your safety and the well-being of the group. Most meals are included in the price of this trip – see the itinerary for full details. Breakfast is provided each morning, as well as lunch and snacks throughout the trip. Dinner is provided on six evenings of the trip. On other nights, you may choose to dine with the group or in a restaurant of your choosing.
On this trip, we generally eat dinner as a group; however, if you would like to make alternative arrangements, you are free to do so. Your guide can help you with recommendations and reservations as required. Local pubs and restaurants offer a wide choice of local dishes.

Travel Insurance
It is your responsibility to take out appropriate travel insurance to cover you during your trip. This should include cover for cancellation prior to the trip, the activities undertaken (i.e cycling), curtailment, and adequate medical insurance for sickness/injury and medical repatriation. A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking to secure the trip with the balance payable 76 days before departure. If booking less than 76 days before the trip start date, full payment of the trip price is required immediately.
